Planning a move and finding a mover can be a very stressful task. We would like to suggest some simple packing and moving tips to make your move run as simple as possible.
Here are some tips and suggestions that will be helpful to you while preparing for your move
- Our quote was based on your information. However,if your job should run a little longer, additionaltime will be charged in fifteen minute increments.Reasonable travel time is figured into thebid. (Due to the cost of vehicle maintenance, insuranceand labor costs, will be for travel which isshown as 'time in' and 'time out'. We charge atwo hour minimum on any job where the use of ourtrucks is required.
- Tape ALL boxes shut using 2" strapping/box tape.NO OPEN BOXES WILL BE MOVED. Placeboxes together in a central location after packingto save time and money. Boxes packed by you (thecustomer) are not insured.
- Label all boxes especially those with breakableitems. It will also help if the boxes are labeled withthe room that they came out of. Examples include:KKitchen, Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, or Den.
- If for any reason you need to change your movingdate or time, please call the office to reschedule atyour earliest opportnity, so we can book anothercustomer in that lime slot. Weekends and the endof the month are our busiest, so please plan accordingly.(If you cancel your move less than 48 hoursin advance of your move, you will be billed for 50%of the estimated time needed to complete yourmove.
- All hanging clothes should have the tops of thehangers tied together and wrapped in garbage bags,about 10-12 items each, Garbage bags are excellentfor packing blankets, comforters, towels, linens,etc. They are easy to transport and are muchless expensive than boxes.
- Although we take every effort to move all your valuedpossessions without damage, we cannot be responsiblefor damage to household items made of particle board.unprotected glass and wicker furniture.
- If you live in a building with an elevator please makeany necessary arrangements to reserve it. Sharing mightslow moving progress and cost you money. Contactyour manager, owner or property management company.
- In the event of unfavorable weather our crew can placecardboard or pads down to protect carpets or hardwoodfloors. We reserve the right to request that all customersnot help load or unload the truck due to insuranceregulations.
- We do not move the following items: hot tubs, grandpianos, firewood. hazardous materials, gasoline, propanegas, paint, construction materials such as sheetrock, cement, etc., used auto parts, large commercialmachinery or firearms and ammunition.
- Please be available one hour before the prearrangedappointment time. The moving business is unpredictableat times and we ask for your patience on your moving day. The time we have appointed for you maychange slightly unless YOU are scheduled at 9:00 AM.Also, please do not request that your telephone service be disconnected the day of the move.Tips: As with any service occupation, our Crews do accepttips. Tips are not required or mandatory on your part,but if our crew does an outstanding job for you, andyou liked the quality of service the crew provided foryou, a tip would be appreciated.
- Please do not schedule other activities after your move,Upon occasion your move may run late, and you canmiss your appointment.
- Electronic components such as stereos, computersand other delicate equipment must be packed init's original shipping box or in a box that affordsthe same degree of protection as the original shippingcontainer. We will move these items withoutproper packing, but we are unable to take responsibilityfor any damage that may occur. Many customerselect to move these items on their own.Televisions need not be packed, as we will coverthem with furniture pads for protection.
- Dresser drawers must be emptied of clothes. Wedo ask that you remove any valuables (cash or jewelry,firearms, etc.) before we arrive. We do notaccept any liability for moving these items.
- Two drawer file cabinets may be left full. Fourdrawer file cabinets and lateral file cabinets mustbe empty. Desks, storage cabinets, credenzas andbookcases must be empty of contents prior to moving.
- Refrigerators and freezers must be empty prior tomoving. Please have your washer and dryer disconnectedbefore we arrive. We also recommend that you replace your water fire hoses on your washingmachine if they are over five years old. (Theycan split and fail with age.)
- Please have all beds disassembled prior to our arrival,if possible. We will gladly disassemble andset up your beds, but this will take extra time and,therefore, will incur additional costs. We can assistwith disconnecting and hooking up your washer and dryer if the proper connections are available.We reserve the right to decline hooking these appliancesup unless you sign the no liability waiver.
- If your home has a garage or storage shed, pleasemake sure that the contents are boxed up. Itemssuch as rakes, shovels and other long handled garageor garden implements should be taped together top and bottom (4 or 5 items together).
- Pianos: If you have a spinet, upright piano or organ,we will move it only under the following conditions:
- If your piano is to go around the side of the houseto be put in place, you must provide plywood orplanking to move the piano over the ground if thereis not a concrete walkway.
- Piano must have lifting pegs on the back of piano.
- We reserve the right to not insure against damage ifin our professional Judgement you request that anitem be moved that is in poor condition, or into orout of, an area that has very poor access, or is notdesigned to be moved into a particular space. Furnituremoved over railing or through windows aredone solely at the customers risk.
- We accept no liability for any damage if we are loadingyour rental truck, once you leave and are on theroad.
- We will call you one day prior to your move to reconfirmyour move with you. If you do not hear from us by4 PM the day before your move, please call our officeto confirm the status of your job.
- The key to a successful move is proper preparation, planningand a good measure of common sense on yourpart. Our estimate is based upon your following thetips listed in this letter. Failure to follow these tips willresult in a larger moving bill from us. If it can fit in abox, it belongs in one. The major reason for going overour estimate is not having EVERYTHING boxed, orhaving boxes without lids!
- Household plants will be moved only by the discretionof the driver. Whiskey barrels, water soaked plants andplants in ceramic clay pots will not be moved. Movingtrucks are designed for moving expensive fine furniture(not dirt). If you need assistance moving largeplants, trees and landscaping items we suggest callinga nursery company.
- If at anytime during your move you have a question, orarc concerned about a valuable piece, please consultthe driver.

Our moving service includes Moving Load and Unload service, 2 well trained movers,your goods insured,all moving equipment and tools for your move.Also we will dissesemble and reassemble most kinds of furniture.Same reasonable rate 7 days a week.
$79.00 per hour -Household Residential, 7 days a week in the local Seattle area when you mention this internet site advertisement.(special rate for internet users) Load and Unload service. $85.00 per hour - Household Residential, 7 days a week outside of the local Seattle area - 3rd mover.$35 per hour.Load and Unload service.Payment is due at the time of completed service with (cash) or ( Local personal check)
